Naples Playground
đ Staten Island, NY
Staten Island playground currently affected by ongoing renovations and maintenance issues. Parents report safety concerns and drainage problems that impact usability.
Great park but parents with kids BEWARE!!!! One of the elevated platforms has two giant circular openings facing downward where kids could accidentally fall through a 6 foot drop. Really dangerous design flaw, they should have sealed these giant holes up or had like thick semi-clear plastic.
đ Family Action Verdict
This playground is best avoided until renovations are complete and safety issues are addressed. While it attracts families with young children and offers a social environment, the combination of dangerous design flaws, poor maintenance, and drainage problems make it unsuitable for most families. Consider other Staten Island playgrounds until improvements are made.

âGreat playground to take the kids. The playground has been taken out, they are currently renovating the play area; the kids can't wait.â

âLove this place... The kids enjoyed a nice quiet sprinkler and run around the small park. Just a word of caution. We were forced to leave because of a creepy guy who was way too focused on the kids and sat himself in front of the sprinklers while there were plenty of other benches and space. He has no kids and just made everyone feel uneasy. If you have kids please just be careful. He did not try and engage in conversation but he had his phone out and we had the feeling his interest in the spot and the kids was not healthy. Most people would perhaps pick up on cues or concerns from parents but he did not. It was unsettling.â

âRun down park. Not upkept at all. Google maps will have you turn down a street that no longer exists. In the event of rain, this park needs an entire week to dry up. Better playgrounds are available on Staten island. Lots of kids come so it's good for a 2+ year old. Also a lot of Russian children so good for Russian kids.â
