We have gone to this museum numerous times. It is housed in a beautiful old mansion and is small enough to view both their permanent collection as well as new exhibits which change several times during the year. The museum is very accessible to anyone who might be physically challenged. There are very knowledgeable docents and I recommend you attend a docent-led tour. The grounds of the museum are massive, beautiful, are dotted with sculptures and are free. Therefore, plan to spend time both inside and out when the weather is accommodating. An added bonus to the museum is that it has a wonderful gift shop.

“This museum never disappoints! The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. I could easily spend a few hours just wandering through the gardens and many sculptures. The exhibits are always very well-curated and the docents are so helpful, engaging and knowledgeable. The last time I visited, the cafe was closed and there was no food available on site. So plan accordingly for that.”

“Enjoyed the 2 pm tour on a Saturday in the winter of 2025-26, it was too cold to walk the grounds so did not see all the outdoor sculptures, but will come back in the summer, the tour of the interior was lovely, learned a lot about realism, photorealism, hyperrealism, Stephanie our tour guide was great”
