1 / 3Port Washington Skating Center
π Port Washington, NY
Small, family-friendly ice rink offering affordable public skating sessions, birthday parties, and skating camps. Parents love the uncrowded atmosphere and intimate setting that's perfect for younger children.
The ice skating rink was nice. The staff were nice too. The place isn't very crowded and the skates were good but I think it needs to be more sharpen.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families seeking an affordable, low-key skating experience without crowds. The intimate size works well for birthday parties and younger children who might feel overwhelmed at larger rinks. Bring your own skates if possible, as rental blade quality is consistently criticized.

βCame here for a birthday party today, 12/28. Parking is minimal, but you can make it work with whatβs around. The rink is small, but intimate and perfect for such an event, practices, junior leagues and scrimmages. All of the adult staff were smiling and aware that theyβre working primarily with children. Where the review drops a single star is where the younger staff comes in. For the most part, the younger staff looked miserable, antisocial and just seemed like they donβt want to be here at all. I understand itβs hard to find good help, especially from this younger generation. But, you have to motivate these kids to want to be here and want to entertain children. This in no way is going to stop our family from making this a spot to visit from now on. Thank you for having us!!β

βNot too crowded, very friendly stuff, and family oriented venue. Price is affordable, and we always have lots of fun with the kids. The only thing is I wished the rental skates had better and more sharpened blades, but if you have your own skates, you will have a blast. On most days, you can find a spot in their parking lot, otherwise you can park right across the street.β
