1 / 2Ozone Park
π Ocean Park, CA
Intimate neighborhood park with dual playgrounds separated by grassy area. Best for families with children of varying ages who want dedicated play spaces for different developmental stages.
Arrived at this park at dusk with my dog. The park was quiet but well traveled by joggers and people out for an evening walk. My dog and I played in the grassy area for about an hour which took us well into the night. I never felt uncertain or afraid for my safety. I didn't see one homeless person either. If you are interested in seeing this cute little park don't let the other reviews that report so many homeless people keep you away. The area must have been cleaned up somehow because I saw no signs of homeless problems. The park has a wonderful feeling of intimacy being sandwiched between two narrow streets with houses framing the park. I think it's a special little park that you won't find anywhere else.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of varying ages who want separate playground options in an intimate neighborhood setting. The fenced playgrounds provide security, but parents should be prepared for potential encounters with transients in the central grassy area. Consider timing visits during busier daylight hours when the park feels more actively used by families.

βTerrific little community park. A narrow strip of land but intimate with a large grassy area, children's playground, and large sandbox. A few benchesβ

βGreat little park. Quiet. Little kids section has a nice cycling wheel for older kids to carry younger kids, older kids playground has very good structure for climbing. Only problem is homeless at the center of the park where itβs not near any of the playgrounds so I would say if you just want kid to play here itβs still great. No bathroom tho.β

βTwo fun playgrounds on either side of a grassy center with some strung out folks. Fun was had by all.β
