1 / 3Pier 51 at Hudson River Park
π Manhattan, NY
Reconstructed pier in Hudson River Park featuring an amphitheater with scheduled performances, tree-lined park areas, scenic Hudson River and Manhattan skyline views, food carts, and clean restrooms. Free entry.
Great place with good views to New Jersey and Manhattan South! This interesting construction has been built onto a former pier being destroyed by a storm. Nowadays itβs a kind of park with trees, stages for music, some food trucks and very clean restrooms. Close to it there is an old gate where the survivors of the Titanic tragedy went through when arriving in NCY.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of any age seeking an unhurried outdoor waterfront experience in Manhattan without admission fees. The amphitheater adds entertainment value when programming aligns with your visit. River breezes keep the pier cooler than inland parks β layers are practical for younger children regardless of season.

βNice place, great view of Hudson River and the skylines beyond. Winter weather had frozen the River and made it more beautiful to view in the nightβ
