1 / 3ARTECHOUSE NYC
π Manhattan, NY
A unique digital art museum in Chelsea Market featuring immersive, interactive exhibits that blend technology and art. Best for families with older children who can appreciate the sensory experience quietly.
Exibition: SUBMERGE I am someone who thoroughly enjoys interactive art museums and this one did not disappoint. I would like to mention that all of the staff are incredibly friendly - from the lady at the entrance who checked us in, to the bartender, who explained the drinks and their concepts in detail (which was interesting)! Although this museum seems to have only one main space, there is actually quite a lot to do for the size. In the hour you're allotted, you get to see so much, and I'm not sure if it was because it wasn't super busy but we weren't even made to feel to rush after the hour finished. This experience was so calming, that I ended up falling asleep while on the floor. The colours, sounds and everything were incredible - it was really nice for me because I get very overstimulated a lot, so being in NY was a lot for me daily, so I have to wear my earplugs. Once I stepped into SUBMERGE, I no longer felt overstimulated and overwhelmed & didn't need to use them at all. The artists they used are incredibly creative & talented. It gave "Love, Death, and Robots" vibes, in the sense of a collection of different styles and genres of digital art/stories coming together in a sequence. This was what made it that much more enjoyable for me, because LDR is one of my favourite series. Don't forget to speak to the penguin before you leave - it's impressive! Thank you for this experience. I'm looking forward to seeing more amazing work! It was a beautiful experience and I would 100% do it again.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who can appreciate art quietly, or teens and adults seeking unique digital experiences. The one-hour timed slots work well for shorter attention spans, but the sensory-focused experience can be disrupted by loud children. Consider visiting during less busy times or look for adult-only sessions if available.

βArtehouse delivered such a great experience from start to finish. The vibe is stylish and inviting, perfect for a chill night out or a cute dinner date. The food was beautifully presented and packed with flavorβeverything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Drinks were well-crafted and complemented the menu perfectly. Service was attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place Iβd return to and recommend if youβre looking for good food, great ambiance, and a memorable dining experience.β

βItβs a really interesting place, and we definitely enjoyed the experience. I wouldnβt pay full price, but with the $30-per-person offer we got, it felt more than reasonable. My only suggestion would be to include a few time slots for adults only. The first 30 minutes were wonderfulβpeaceful and immersiveβbut once several small children arrived and began running and yelling, it disrupted the atmosphere. Since the experience relies so much on sight and sound, it was hard to stay engaged. To be clear, I donβt blame the kids or their parentsβthey were just being kids! But perhaps offering adult-only sessions could help everyone make the most of it. :)β

βArtechouse is a very cool spot and absolutely worth visiting. Itβs the kind of experience you can share with anyone, at any age. My sister bought tickets for herself, our mom (65), and me β and we all genuinely loved it. The current exhibit features 17 artists, and the crowd reflected that broad appeal: couples on date night, families with young kids, and even a group of post-shopping ladies sipping cocktails. The space feels welcoming, immersive, and fun for everyone. Highly recommend checking it out if youβre in the area!β
