Stopped to see the animals for my infant. Admission price seemed reasonable considering how many animals. It was an additional $5 for fees to give the animals (certain restrictions on which animals should not be fed). The animals looked well tended and would run up to see you if you had feed. Careful of the emu eating with the pointy beak, otherwise, every other animal was pretty easy. There was hand sanitizer and water to clean your hands after. Note that the petting zoo is across the street from the market.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Strongest fit for families with kids aged 2-10 who want a hands-on farm day with multiple anchors — animals, picking, and market treats — all on one property. Toddlers gravitate toward the petting zoo; older kids love picking their own fruit. Weekday visits see lighter crowds than peak autumn weekends.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Purchase feed bags at the animal farm entrance — animals actively approach visitors with feed
⏰The animal farm and main market are across the street from each other — plan for walking between both
đŸŽŸī¸Hand sanitizer stations are near the animal areas
🚗Visit on weekdays during apple season to avoid the busiest crowds

“I was looking to find the most 'New England' experience possible around me to share with someone new to the area, and this was perfect! The cider (and "chai-der") and donuts are only rivaled in deliciousness by the apples we picked. An awesome time I've enjoyed since I was a kid, and now can share with others. 🍎 🐄 🎃”

Overview

Silverman's Farm spans a working New England property with three distinct draws: a petting zoo where animals run up to visitors holding feed, pick-your-own seasonal crops including apples and pumpkins, and a country market loaded with cider, chai-der, donuts, candy apples, pies, ice cream, and food trucks. The animal farm charges separate admission. Hand sanitizer stations are available post-animal contact.
