The Polar Express Train Ride

“The Polar Express Train Ride is an amazing amusement park ride and the crown jewel attraction of Whippany, New Jersey. In December of 2025, I brought and treated myself and my wife for a visit of the Polar Express Train Ride to celebrate our Happy Engagement Anniversary and the Christmas Holiday season. We found our adventure and tour on the train ride to be superbly entertaining and highly recommend for everyone to attend this magnificent event. Inspired by the 2004 classic film, “the Polar Express,” the Polar Express Train Ride is an immersive theatrical experience that provides guests a chance to travel on an enchanted train, and also view a live performance that features the train’s crew and a reenactment of scenes found in the film. The major highlights of the show include 1).the performance of the cast whom dazzle the audience with their singing and dancing and artfully recreate scenes featured in the movie, 2).the serving of hot cocoa and cookies to the guests by the show’s cast, whom are also singing the film’s popular song, “Hot Chocolate” 3). a reading of the Polar Express story and 4). a visit by Santa Clause whom takes pictures with the guests on the train. Both my wife and I very much enjoyed moment of the show, but our personal favorite segments were “the serving of hot cocoa and cookies” and getting the chance to see Santa Clause whom interacts with the guests and provides all of us with the first Christmas gifts; the silver bell, which was also given in the movie. In addition to the great train ride, my wife and I loved visiting the Welcome Center and taking pictures of the gorgeous Christmas decorations and we also enjoyed visiting and shopping for souvenirs at the Polar Express gift shop!!! For guests interested in attending the Polar Express Train Ride, I definitely encourage you to purchase tickets as soon as they become available because the show only runs from late November until late December and tickets sell out very quickly. While parking is available at the location I recommend that you purchase parking tickets, which is offered when purchasing the event tickets online. The parking area gets filled quickly and having a pre-paid ticket will reserve a parking spot. Both my wife had tremendous fun at Polar Express Train Ride and we are confident that you too will have a wonderful experience at this outstanding holiday destination!!!”

“As grandparents, we truly loved to watch the faces of The Children and especially the grandchildren as we all went to the North Pole, and witnessed the Polar Express story come to life before Santa showed up. It was fantastic ride there and back. It was a wow experience for the whole family. We anticipated it to be somewhat the same as the movie. And we were happily surprised that they didn't disappoint the grandchildren at all. We brought 4 of them. The oldest 5, and the youngest is 2. Each of them had a chance to participate including saying something on the microphone. Their happiness was priceless. We all enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies, clapping, laughing, and singing. At the end everyone went home with a great memory and a gift.”

“It was totally amazing from start to finish! The cast was awesome, especially our conductor, who really made the story come alive. The hot chocolate and cookies were yummy, and my kids had a blast ringing their silver bells and using the mugs from the VIP package. It was such an incredible warm train ride, like the golden ticket. Even though it was daytime, it didn't take away from the experience because the windows have a film. A real 2025 holiday highlight for our family!”
