1 / 3Craft Contemporary
π Central LA, CA
Intimate Miracle Mile museum with rotating craft exhibitions across three floors, covering mosaic, ceramics, woodwork, fabric art, and mixed media. Museum shop stocks work from local and international artisans. Parking is off-site.
Lovely museum with mixed media craftsmanship and art. We went during Free For All Museum Day this year and enjoyed the two open exhibits on the 2nd and 3rd floor. I especially loved the mosaic tile, woodwork, ceramic, and fabric art showcased. The museum is across the street from the LA Brea Tar Pits so a quick walk between the two if you'd like to go to multiple museums in a single trip. Thank you for allowing free admission for this year's Free For All Museum Day. We are so appreciative for you welcoming us to see the art βΊοΈ
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 8 and up who have some existing interest in art and craft. The three-floor layout keeps visits to a focused 45β90 minutes β manageable without overstaying attention spans. Combining it with the LA Brea Tar Pits directly across the street creates a full half-day museum itinerary without additional driving.

βAmazing museum showcasing primarily women's art, which isn't the case in most LA museums. Really enjoyed the perfume exhibit, Tea Towel installation and the gift shop!β
