An amazing local theater. They play great movies and you can rent out the 42 seat theater for private events. Had a birthday celebration to watch T2 and they were able to source the film for us.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who want an intimate, curated cinema experience that big multiplexes cannot replicate. The private rental option makes it a standout birthday party venue for movie-loving families β€” the owner can source almost any film. Kids of all ages suit the space.

β€œI live in Morningside Heights and come here maybe once a week(1hr+ train ride away) Maybe it's the male loneliness epidemic making me want to be around strangers without the risk of truly being known maybe it's just that good a spot πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ When every movie is at your fingertips with streaming services this place really has a human touch to everything from the concessions, to the paper mache with disturbing (hopefully) fake teeth, to the programming. It really brings the fact that people who care make and present these movies to the forefront of the experience in a way that's so refreshing. Also the bathroom has funny stuff on the wall, which is pretty cool”

β€œAn absolute gem of a theater! This is one of my favorite indie movie houses in the city. They do lots of fun events-like surprise movie nights. Well curated by the owner who is clearly passionate about what he does. If you miss small cool punk spaces-you don’t have to! Low cinema is here!”
