📍 Manhattan, NY
Seven interactive museum galleries co-curated with world-class institutions, a Jeff Goldblum-narrated documentary, and a 4D flight simulator using 8K aerial footage that lifts visitors 40 feet.
RiseNY RiseNY was an unexpected highlight for us during our 8 day stay in NYC that I would highly recommend. I’m sure like others when visiting New York, we went from theatres, to shops, to restaurants, etc. RiseNY gave us the history and context that was missing from the individual activities that we were doing. How New York was formed, how the stock exchange started, how radio, music and TV shows have shaped culture and priorities in New York. Skyscraper development, fashion, Broadway and film (you can eat the popcorn!) and how they have influenced the city and country. There were interactive stations and genuine memorabilia. It was very clever how they incorporated subway and elevator rides into the history. And final ride over New York was fabulous! We pre-bought tickets online but it didn’t look like this was required. I would highly recommend this attraction.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Strongest for first-time NYC visitors of any age who want historical context before hitting the streets. The flight simulator is the undisputed highlight — Disney's Soarin fans will recognize the format and love the comparison. Families who've seen the city before may find the museum portion light, so calibrate expectations accordingly.

“I LOVE this place! It certainly is never busy enough for how amazing the movie experience is. The lead-up to the main attraction (the visual ride) is honestly whatever to me (photos attached), BUT... The ride is EVERYTHING and I could go on it 100 more times and still cry. =-P I have been twice now and both times the place was empty, there were no lines and I breezed in and out within 45 minutes. #nyc #riseny”

“This entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The staff was kind and helpful. It is easily accessible for wheelchair users, as my wife is. And the information throughout was so interesting. The ride at the end, especially as Disney fans of their ride Soarin, was so good. We had a great time. Highly recommend.”

“I think if you're coming to visit NY or if you live here, Rise NY is a must-do experience. The place is completely amazing, the museum is quality art. It shows you where it all starts from and the finishing touch is the "trip" you take through the city in 8K. Recommended 100%”
